Job Description:

Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and commercially astute Legal Manager specializing in Real Estate and Property Law to join us. The role involves handling end-to-end legal advisory, due diligence, structuring, documentation, and compliance for real estate developers, investors, landowners, and corporate clients.
The ideal candidate will possess strong expertise in property transactions, land laws, RERA compliance, development agreements, and regulatory advisory, along with the ability to manage client relationships and lead transactions independently.
The role involves close collaboration with Business Development, Finance, Legal, and Project teams to ensure all submissions and agreements are accurate, compliant, and aligned with commercial objectives.

1. Real Estate Transactions & Advisory
• Lead legal due diligence for land acquisition, asset purchase, joint development, and leasing transactions
• Draft, review, and negotiate real estate documentation including:
• Sale Deeds, Conveyance Deeds, Lease Deeds
• Joint Development Agreements (JDA), Joint Venture (JV) Agreements
• Development Management Agreements
• Term Sheets, MOUs, LOIs
• Power of Attorney and related property instruments
• Advise clients on transaction structuring, risk mitigation, and regulatory implications
• Provide legal opinions on title verification, land use, zoning, and conversion matters
2. Regulatory & Compliance Advisory
• Advise on RERA compliance and documentation requirements
• Handle regulatory approvals and liaise with local authorities where required
• Ensure compliance with applicable state land laws, municipal regulations, and property tax frameworks
• Monitor changes in real estate laws and advise clients on legal impact
3. Litigation & Dispute Management
• Coordinate with litigation teams on property disputes, title issues, and contractual breaches
• Draft legal notices, replies, and documentation related to disputes
• Support arbitration and mediation proceedings related to real estate matters
4. Client & Practice Management
• Serve as primary legal contact for assigned clients
• Provide strategic advisory to developers, investors, HNIs, and corporate clients
• Support business development initiatives for the real estate practice
• Mentor junior associates and review their work
• Ensure timely execution and delivery of assignments

 


Job Expectations:

• Prior experience in a reputed law firm, legal advisory firm, or real estate developer
• Strong drafting and negotiation skills
• Deep understanding of state-specific land laws and RERA framework
• Experience in handling large-scale development projects or structured real estate transactions
• Ability to manage multiple transactions simultaneously
• Strong client-handling and advisory skills
• Commercial acumen with solution-oriented mindset

Minimum Qualification:

LL.B. / LL.M. from a recognized university

Minimum Job Experience:

6–10 years of post-qualification experience in real estate/property law
