Job Purpose
The Head of HVAC will single-handedly own the lifecycle of all heating, ventilation, and air conditioning systems across Della Resorts, Della Adventure Park, and upcoming luxury villa expansions. This role bridges the gap between high-aesthetic Design concepting, aggressive site Execution (for new phases and upgrades), and flawless Maintenance to ensure an elite, uninterrupted guest experience in Lonavala’s highly humid, monsoon-heavy climate.
Key Responsibilities
1. HVAC Engineering & Sustainable Design
• System Architecture: Lead the design and optimization of complex HVAC systems, including Centralized Chiller plants (water-cooled/air-cooled), VRF/VRV systems, DX systems, and sophisticated ventilation networks for large industrial kitchens, banquet halls, and open-air luxury spaces.
• Climatic Customization: Design specifically for Lonavala’s heavy monsoon environment—focusing heavily on humidity control, moisture mitigation, mold prevention, and anti-corrosive treatments for outdoor units.
• Energy Efficiency & ROI: Push the boundaries on green energy. Integrate energy-saving systems like Heat Recovery Wheels, VFDs (Variable Frequency Drives), and automated BMS (Building Management Systems) to drastically optimize power consumption without compromising 5-star comfort.
• Design Review: Evaluate and validate engineering drawings, heat load calculations (using software like HAP), duct layouts, and piping schematics submitted by external consultants.
2. Project Execution & Commissioning
• Vendor & Contractor Management: Spearhead the tendering process. Onboard contractors, negotiate SLA terms, and rigorously monitor technical compliance and timelines during installations.
• Site Supervision: Supervise hands-on execution for ongoing expansions, luxury glamping transformations, and new villa rollouts. Ensure zero compromise on aesthetic camouflage HVAC units must be acoustically silent and visually invisible to guests.

Job Expectations:

• Testing & Commissioning: Personally oversee testing, balancing, and commissioning (TAB) procedures to ensure newly installed plants hit strict performance benchmarks before handover.
3. Comprehensive O&M (Operations & Maintenance)
• Uninterrupted Performance: Manage the daily operations of all HVAC systems across 325+ rooms, 8 multi-cuisine restaurants, and common entertainment arenas, ensuring immediate uptime response metrics (SLA).
• Preventative & Predictive Maintenance: Design and implement a robust calendar for coil cleaning, refrigerant management, filter changes, and chiller descaling to minimize emergency breakdowns.
• Monsoon Preparedness: Run structured pre-monsoon audits across all exposed HVAC infrastructure to secure structural stability, water insulation, and drainage systems.
