ROLES & RESPONSIBILITES: -
1. Concept & Product Design
• Conceptualize iconic, contemporary, and bespoke furniture collections aligned with the Della Luxury brand ethos and international design trends.
• Translate interior mood boards, architectural briefs, and client requirements into initial sketches, 3D renderings, and detailed concept presentations.
• Integrate functional ergonomics, aesthetic proportions, and material innovations (solid woods, rare veneers, metals, stone, leather, acrylics) into product designs.
2. Technical Detailing & Production Drawings
• Develop precise 2D/3D manufacturing, CAD, and shop drawings for production teams.
• Generate comprehensive Bill of Materials (BOM), hardware cutouts, and hardware specifications.
• Call out explicit joinery methods, structural reinforcements, assembly mechanisms, tolerances, and surface finishes (PU, Polyester, Lacquer, Polish).
3. Prototyping & Factory Execution
• Oversee the end-to-end prototyping and mock-up creation process alongside factory carpenters, artisans, and upholstery teams.
• Evaluate initial production samples, spot structural or aesthetic defects, and refine drawings prior to full-scale production runs.
• Conduct frequent visits to factory floors/facilities (Lonavala/Daman) to resolve manufacturing issues and inspect quality.
4. Sector-Specific Execution & Cross-Functional Coordination
• Hospitality & Commercial: Ensure designs meet high foot-traffic durability, safety regulations (e.g., fire-retardant materials), and rapid site installation needs.
• Luxury Residential: Maintain precision in fine woodworking, rare veneer matching, and custom hardware integrations for bespoke client projects.
• Work closely with Purchase, Production, Quality Control (QC), and Project Management teams to ensure design feasibility, cost efficiency, and on-time delivery.
Technical Mastery & Skills Required:
• Software Proficiency: AutoCAD, SketchUp, SolidWorks, Rhino, 3ds Max, Adobe Creative Suite, or equivalent visualization tools.
• Material & Joinery Knowledge: Deep understanding of wood engineering, metal fabrication, veneer matching, upholstery, stone/glass integration, and luxury hardware systems (e.g., Blum, Hettich, Häfele, Sugatsune).
• Craftsmanship & Execution: Practical knowledge of carpentry, surface finishes, and structural stability.
• Portfolio: A portfolio showing luxury loose furniture, casegoods, upholstery, and detailed joinery solutions.
