About the role
Key Responsibilities
- Operate, monitor, and maintain industrial laundry equipment including washing machines, dryers, presses, steam irons, and finishing equipment.
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance of laundry machinery to ensure smooth operations.
- Troubleshoot electrical, mechanical, and operational faults in laundry equipment.
- Ensure proper functioning of boilers, steam lines, pumps, and related laundry systems.
- Conduct regular inspection, lubrication, cleaning, and servicing of machines.
- Attend breakdowns promptly and minimize equipment downtime.
- Maintain maintenance records, machine checklists, and service reports.
- Coordinate with the Housekeeping/Laundry team to ensure uninterrupted laundry operations.
- Follow hotel safety, hygiene, fire-safety, and engineering standards at all times.
- Coordinate with external vendors/service agencies for major repairs and equipment servicing.
